How to use

Flush

Fill the canister with 50 to 100ml of Undercarriage & Chassis Wash and connect it to your garden hose. Snap the flusher onto the rail, starting at the highest point. Run 30 seconds per hole, moving between 2 to 4 points each side.

Clean

Spray the included cleaner over the outside of the chassis and underbody. Scrub with the hard and soft brushes, then let everything dry completely.

Spray

Spray one even coat of Rust Shield on the outside of the rails and underbody. A standard 4x4 uses around 330 to 350ml. More is not better. Extra coating performs worse.

Cure

Tack dry in 3 hours, so normal tarmac driving is fine the same day. Allow 3 to 4 days to cure and harden before beach, trail or wet roads. Touch test before you head off road.

Will the flusher fit my 4x4?

It fits most standard 4x4 chassis. Most already have the drain holes it plugs into, and six neodymium magnets lock it in place. If it doesn't fit yours, send it back under our 30 day money back promise.

Won't flushing leave water inside my rails?

Fresh water drains out and dries. Salt is the real problem, because it keeps pulling moisture from the air and holds it against the metal. Flushing takes the salt out, so your rails can actually dry.

Do I need a pressure washer?

No. The flusher runs off a standard garden hose.

Does Rust Shield go inside the rails?

No. Rust Shield goes on the outside of the rails and exposed underbody metal. The flusher looks after the inside.

Can I use it on a chassis that already has rust?

Light surface rust is fine. Clean the area and let it dry before you spray. The kit prevents rust. It doesn't remove it, so heavy or flaking rust needs a workshop first.

How often should I flush and reapply?

Flush with the Chassis Flusher after every beach run or off road trip.

Rust Shield lasts 6 to 12 months after application depending on how hard you use your rig. If the chassis no longer rinses clean with a quick wash, it's time to top it up.

How much Rust Shield do I need?

A standard 4x4 takes around 330 to 350ml, so the 500ml size covers one vehicle with some to spare. One even coat is all you need.

Where should I not spray it?

Don't apply it to exhausts or engines. Wear a respirator and safety glasses while applying, and make sure it has fully cured before you go off road.

How long before I can drive it?

Apply Rust Shield in one coat. Tack dry in 3 hours for standard street driving, then allow 3 to 4 days to cure and harden before hitting off road trails or the beach.
