Spray Salt Shift All Purpose Cleaner over the appointed areas. Clean thoroughly. No dirt or mud should be left behind.

Agitate

Use hard & soft brushes for an agitated scrub to remove grease & grime. Use pressure wash if needed to remove loosened debris. Let it dry completely.

How much do I need for one 4x4?

Most standard 4x4s take around 330 ml (11.1 oz) for full coverage, so a single 500 ml (16.9 oz) bottle is enough. Applying more than recommended can actually give you less than ideal performance.

How long before I can drive it?

Allow about 3 to 4 hours to tack dry before normal tarmac driving, then 3 to 4 days to cure and harden before any trail or beach driving.

How often should I reapply?

Rust Shield lasts anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on how often you go off road. If the chassis no longer rinses clean with a quick wash after the trip, top it up.

Where should I not spray it?

Do not apply to exhausts or engines. Wear a respirator and safety glasses while applying, and make sure it has fully cured before you go off road.

Does it contain PFAs?

No. Rust Shield is completely free of PFAs.

Is it lanolin based?

No. Rust Shield is an oil based protective formula with gloss finish that coats metal surfaces to block moisture and prevent corrosion.

How do I use it?

Wash and clean the areas you are treating with Salt Shift All Purpose Cleaner or Chassis & Undercarriage Wash, then let them dry free of water residue. Spray Rust Shield on, allow about 4 hours to tack dry before normal tarmac driving, then 3 to 4 days to cure and harden before any trail or beach driving.
