How to Use

Step 1: Foam wash the exterior
Mix Salt Shift 4x4 & Caravan Wash with water at a 20:1 ratio in the Snow Foam Cannon. Foam the vehicle, allow it to dwell for 60 seconds, then use the 2-in-1 Wash Mitt for any remaining agitated cleaning. Once done, rinse thoroughly.

Step 2: Clean the chassis
Add 50–100mL (1.7–3.4 oz) of Undercarriage & Chassis Wash to the Universal Flusher Canister. Attach it to the Chassis Flusher, connect to a garden hose, and flush for 30 seconds while moving steadily along the chassis frame.

Step 3: Deep-clean the underbody
Add 50–100mL (1.7–3.4 oz) of Undercarriage & Chassis Wash to the Universal Flusher Canister. Attach it to the Underbody Blaster Off-Road and pressure washer. Spray across the entire undercarriage, allow 60 seconds of dwell time, then rinse with fresh water. Do not let the product dry. Repeat on heavily soiled areas if needed.

Step 4: Prep metal surfaces
Pressure wash the areas to be protected. Apply All Purpose Cleaner and use the hard or soft bristle brush as needed to remove grease, grime and stains. Rinse thoroughly and dry the vehicle with the Twist Pile Dry Towel.

Step 5: Apply Rust Shield
Spray Rust Shield evenly onto clean, dry metal areas such as the chassis and suspension.

Step 6: Allow Rust Shield to cure
Allow approximately 3 hours for Rust Shield to tack dry before normal dry-road driving. Allow 3–4 days for it to fully cure and harden before trail or beach driving, vessel launching, or driving on wet roads. Confirm it has cured to a non-stick finish before heading off-road.

Will this kit allow me to clean and protect the underbody of my car?

Yes. The Underbody Blaster and Chassis Flusher clean hard-to-reach underbody areas, and Rust Shield then protects that same metal from corrosion for up to 12 months.

When should I apply the protective coating?

Apply it only after the target metal surfaces are clean, dry and free of grease or water residue. Use the surface cleaner and brushes first where needed.

How long does the protection last?

Protection can last around 6–12 months, depending on driving conditions and how often the vehicle is used off-road or near saltwater. Check the hydrophobic effect before trips and reapply when it begins to fade.

Does the protective coating contain PFAs or lanolin?

Just washed the Jeep, once dried I sprayed the under carriage per the instructions. I did get some on the fenders which are powder coated steel and faded they now look new as does the under side. This stuff just works the only downside is it took 3 days to dry and I attribute that to the humidity but it was definitely worth it!

I really do believe your product works great. Easy to apply. Seems to last decently from application to application. Time will tell how well it protects from our wintry salt season in Michigan. The price is a little high (even on sale) compared to other barriers that I have used but if it works........ I really like how it hardens after application.
